Markus Dorencec
Inside sales, Ettiketto, MalmöIt is now ten years since Markus was tipped off that Ettiketto was looking for an inside salesman. He got the job and changed careers after many years of working in production and logistics at different industrial companies.
As an inside salesman, Markus is responsible for a number of Ettiketto's large and small customers. He helps develop new labels, calculates prices and makes calculations in the business system, places orders, plans production and maintains customer records. He works closely with his colleagues on the production floor and benefits greatly from his industrial background when working with them.
It's a more technical job than you might think and it's important to understand what's possible in production to get the best results for our customers. What is the right combination of materials, coatings, adhesives and laminates? And what can we produce most efficiently?
What do you enjoy most about your job?
What I like most is the energy, being at the centre of things! It's an independent job with new challenges, decisions and priorities. Relationships and cooperation are very important, so I like to visit my customers or invite them to our premises so that they can understand the production process. Labelling is a science!
Markus and his colleagues are based right next door to the print shop and every working day starts with a joint morning meeting to review the business and plan ahead. They also share information about how things are going for the various units within Ettiketto.
It feels like we're all pulling in the same direction, working towards the goals we've set for the company and wanting nothing more than to keep our promises to our customers. If I had to sum up Ettiketto in a few words, it would be orderly, customer-oriented and informal. We focus on the customer, we have good routines and at the same time we have a lot of freedom with responsibility. It just makes you feel good.
Away from work, Markus' big hobby is photography, preferably of urban life in his hometown of Malmö, where he lives with his teenage daughter.
